Design guide

This section of pages aims to talk about the things that visually make a Crystali. This page is an outline of the basics, but each Crystali Tier is further broken down in the other pages. There is also a Trait Chart that explains what is considered common, or rare, etc. To understand the way they're supposed to look best, I encourage you to read this whole section.

A Basic Introduction

Welcome to a basic guide to Crystali! Crystali are digitrade anthropomorphic critters. They are extremely flexible and have very few restrictions when it comes to their appearance. They are characterized by the crystal growths on their bodies, and the soft trail of mist emitting from their tails. Any exposed bone such as claws, spines, and even their teeth (although not always the same color as the rest of their crystals) are all made of crystal.

Tiers

Crystali can vary in appearance and ability levels depending on what type they are. The most common type of Crystali are the Mystic Crystali, followed closely by Common Crystali. Draconic Crystali are extremely rare and only a handfull of them exist.

Fur

The colors of their fur can vary a lot. There is no restriction to how many colors are in a Crystali’s fur, or how complex their markings are. Generally the color of their fur is a bit more muted and there’s a lot of contrast between their cast channels and fur, but there are some very neon individuals out there.

Hair

Hair and hairstyles vary immensely. Some appear to have more of a “mane” and others have long hair that grows out and can be styled. Their hairstyles often include fur from their ears or cheeks.

Ears

Ears come in all shapes and sizes.

Hands & Feet

Crystali hands and feet are very variable. Most have canine/feline feet, but hooves, talons, and other types of feet are welcome. Their hands come in varying degrees of 'softness'. They can be talon-like with long claws, or they can be softer and more akin to human hands. The only rule is they must be furred and any exposed nail or bone structure will be crystalline.
