ii. Vivielle Region

The northern central part of the map. Most of this region has a dry climate, with the very north being temperate.

Element: Earth

Elysian

Elysian is a lush land. It’s a mix of forests and open grasslands, with a bit of a mountain range to the east. The earth here is known to be exceptionally fertile. Small farming settlements dot the lands and mountainsides. Lots of Crystali make their home here for the pleasant weather, vicinity to a decent sized free town like Moonvale, and ease of self sustainability if they need to grow food.

Moonvale

The capital of Elysian. This town is of a decent size and is fairly wealthy thanks to its export of crops. Lots of travellers pass through here since it’s between Sashai and Nethermire.

Paralia

Paralia is a huge desert expanse in the heart of Nophra. For the most part, it is a sea of sand, with the odd oases or rocky expanses. Some canals also pierce the landscape, with their purpose being to bring water to Sashai.

The sand here is special. In the grand scheme of things it looks like normal sand, but it has a large quantity of glass and crystal shards in it. It will sparkle like glitter in certain conditions. It’s comparable to how fresh snow sparkles. Glass made from Paralian sand is known to be exceptionally beautiful.

The peninsula to the north transitions from dunes to salt flats, with hypersaline lakes on the very northern tip.

Sashai

The capital of Paralia, and the largest city in Nophra. It is home to Morrak’s royal palace and is the center of her influence. Sashai is very densely populated, and heavily guarded and patrolled.

Outside of the castle grounds one can find lots of markets, restaurants, entertainment, etc. The streets are active and lively almost 24/7.

For the most part, it appears to be a paradise in the heart of the desert, but delving deeper reveals a corrupt monarchy hungry for power and control.

Whistling Oasis

A large oasis towards the center of Paralia. It is in the harshest and hottest part of the desert, so not much about it is known. Aside from being hard to reach, it’s common knowledge to any Paralians to steer clear, since a dragon guards it fiercely.
