Elements in Nophra are very fluid. There is a solid list of core elements (Water, Fire, Earth, Air, Light and Dark) but their potential sub-elements are infinite. If you can think it up, it exists and can be sorted under one of the base elements.

I have attempted to sort common elements here, but if you don't see yours feel free to sort it yourself or ask me for help!

Another noteworthy thing is that the below list is not fully definitive of any ability. For example, an element like Metal can have earth or fire influence. It all depends on what abilities a Crystali has access to.

Since a Crystali's element is very relevant to how they look, I feel it's important to talk about color palette briefly. Outside of solid black, white or gray, there is no limitation to what color essence of a certain element can be. For example, fire is typically thought of as red, but blue flames exist and are known to be hotter than the red ones even. As long as it can be vaguely explained, it works. 2 individuals with the exact same elemental makeup might have essence of completely different colors, it's just a diversity thing.

• Black - restricted to shadow elements
• White - restricted to light elements
• Gray - Fully neutral gray essence does not exist. If you want gray essence, you gotta tint it with a color at least a little bit.

Light elements and magic are always linked to healing.

Dark elements and magic are always linked to death, curses and diseases.
